Default Skipping stages?

I am VERY anxious to get to stage 6. I have set a few personal goals as of late and doing chins and more pushups is one of them. I am nearing the end of phase 2 but am wondering if it is essential to follow the stages in succession as in the book. Can I skip any and maybe go back after or should i keep going in order and just be patient.....?

I would trust that Alwyn knows what he is doing and designed the program to be a progression, to move you along from one stage to the next to get to stage 6 and then stage 7. I'd stay the course.

That said, nothing says you can't work on chin-ups on your own if you really want to.

You can do anything you want to, but it won't be NROL4W

I heard something like that before LOL, where was that?

Yeah, don't skip, just add in some chin-up workouts. Nothing is holding you back! But the rest of the program is solid.

I have to agree with the rest. As tempting as it may be, the program is designed to be worked as laid out. I'm all for getting some practice in on the chin-ups though! Never hurts to have some extra game going into things before you start!

I am already worried about what I am going to do when I finish ALL the workouts, I definitely won't be skipping ahead! I agree with the others, add some chinups to your existing workouts but enjoy them in the order they are written.

That's what I came from and what I will go back to after NROL4W.

Cynthia - FYI - I just read in NROL that Alwyn says it's okay to repeat stages, as long as you have 12 weeks in between. So, hypothetically, you could repeat all of NROL4W if you wanted to. Might get kind of boring, but you can always go back and do your favorite stage if you want!

DH is currently following NROL and that is probably what I will move to afterward. I am just enjoying these workouts so much, you know? It is like eating a really good ice cream cone, you want to enjoy it but you don't want it to end!!!

Same here!!! But from what I have heard, I am planning on doing NROL after NROL4W...even though it's a good 4 months away!!

My hubby's doing NROL too and I can't wait to get to it. Though in all honesty it might be because I can look at a workout and see it is called "Fat Loss" lol!!
