Default Scheduling rotation into vacation?

Hello! I am going to be finishing up Stage 2 on Wednesday. I am feeling great and don't feel the need for a break. However, in two weeks we are going to be on a week long vacation. I cannot decide whether to start stage 3 and only get 3 workouts in, take a week break and then finish the next 5 workouts when I get back or should I take two weeks off and do alternative exercises (higher rep, circuit, yoga, etc) for a week and not begin stage 3 until after my vacation. I am worried that if I take two weeks off, I may have a more difficult time getting back on track. But I didn't know if those that have taken a break in the middle of a stage if it was counterproductive.
What are your thoughts?
Thanks!
Jen

Personally, I always find I come back stronger and more enthusiastic after a short break. If you're worried about getting off track, plan it out ahead of time. Make sure you're preparing yourself to go back into the gym after your two weeks off - write out your exercises in the notebook you take with you, or plan out your meals. Keep your head in the game. You may be surprised at the strength gains you make while taking some time off for recovery.

Don't take two weeks off. Start, do the 3 workouts, take the week off on your vacation, pickup where you left off when you get back.

Agreed.

I'm in a similar place. I just finished stage 1 Sunday, and am starting stage 2 on Tuesday. I've got a friend visiting in 2 weeks--right in the middle of the stage. I'm planning on taking time off the program at that point to spend the time snowboarding.
I'm glad to know that Lisa and Lost Dog think that's the way to go.

Thanks for your recommendations! I think I feel best about continuing and then taking my vacation in the middle of stage 3. After thinking about it some more, I think I can start stage 3 at the end of this week and then get a workout in on the weekend before and after my vacation. By doing it that way, I should only be off a day or so.
Thanks again, you are all great!
