Default NROL4W minus the legs ?!??!?!

Hello everyone, maybe this has been posted before but I couldn't find anything on the subject. My g/f loves to run, but yesterday she started feeling a pain in both her ankles and today she could not walk right, the pain in her left ankle was too much tonight, so we iced it and left it to rest. Obviously she's done running for awhile, no matter what she says, but now the question is, what can she do as far as lifting, because from what it feels like, it seems like it could be Achilles tendonitis, and that means a couple of months with no running, and maybe no leg exercises until we get her checked out by ortho.
So does this mean that she can continue with the program minus leg exercises. What do you guys think ????
Any and all comments are greatly appreciated,
Thanx.

Obviously, I'm not a doctor and I know you will get many more informed responses, but I'm writing because I too suffer from Achilles tendonitis and it is NOT fun. When I visted my doctor last summer for this (the very first time I had the severe pain) he told me to stop the running immediately because you have to let the tendon heal. Apparently that tendon does not get as much blood pumped through it as others and takes much longer to heal. He really cautioned me because you don't want to rupture it because then surgery would be needed. He did tell me that I could use a stationary bike but with no tension.

I wasn't doing lifting at the time, so I can't help you with that part of your question. I wish her luck and hope she heals quickly.
