Here's a hang clean tutorial. Don't stress over the technique too much, but it's good to hear it explained well. Just do one hang clean, then you're in position to do the front squat to push press.

good stuff, Lisa. By the way, thanks to helping out my hubby with his 'front squat' issue. He found the links very helpful.

Thanks for all the help on the form for this one. My husband is also doing NROL and he helped me out too.

The problem is, I think I have the form pretty well, but the front squat position KILLS my wrists. Really hurts in a way that seems bad (not a "good sore" kind of thing). So what do I lose if I do a military press and some other kind of squat exercise separately, rather than the combo? Or does anyone have any suggestions for helping with the wrist pain?

BTW, I'm doing these now in Stage 4. I actually don't remember as much pain in Stage 2 - not sure why that would be.

Thanks.

Have you tried not putting your pinky and ring finger around the bar? I know some of the guys who have trouble with this pull those fingers off the bar.
