Hi there Kfisherx! Where in Portland are you?
I just got the book on Monday! I haven't started the workouts, but I am cranking up what I am doing in the meantime. I am still reading too....almost half way through it!

LOL!!!! I was wondering if it wouldn't be the case that a thread with a bunch of ladies in their underwear would get a lot of hits.
Sue, I live on the West side in the country. I am a Ballys member and workout mostly in the Hillsboro one. On Saturdays I am generally in town and workout in the SE Ballys. When you start your workouts give me a holla and I'll meet up with you at one of these many places. All of them will let you do a free day if you aren't a member. We can talk deadlift form and squat form.

Okay, thanks for giving me a couple days. I just downloaded my pics and my husband did not take them like I asked! Next time I will have to double check his work. So, my head and half my legs are cut off, but your not missing anything
Also, I want to add, I am actually eating at maintenance/slightly over until March so my weight and measurements are exactly the same as when I started. no changes to report but hopefully I am getting sronger and building a bit of muscle.
i am going to start to cut in March so I hope to have some more noticable results in the next few check-ins

Rebecca, your pix look good. Don't be afraid to eat more (of good stuff, of course). If your target to gain lean mass, in your case eating will only help. On Alwyn's program (if you give it all you got) you won't gain much fat while 'bulking' .

All right, ladies. This has been one of those weeks where I haven't been home for more than 5 minutes at a time to take any pics, much less upload and post them. I hope you'll forgive me and still accept my pics!
I have to say, I'm highly impressed! You ladies done good this month! WOO HOO for all of you!!
My progress hasn't been what I'd hoped, but I was sick for a week and had a pinched nerve in my neck that prevented me from doing pretty much anything with the upper half of my body for most of the next week. And so then I got lazy on the eating, too! As of this past Monday, though, I'm back on track and doing better than ever, and I plan to stay that way. I want much bigger results to post for March (first Monday of the month!).
Stats:
January February
Upper Chest 33.5 32.25
Right upper arm 11 11
Ribcage 31.25 29.75
Waist 33.5 32.5
Navel 31 30
Hips 37.75 36.75
Right upper thigh 23 22
Pics:
(January first, February second)

Kfisherx....I don't work out in a gym or I'd be all over meeting up and working out with you! I live almost to Gresham...do you know where the Glendoveer golf course is? I'm a couple of blocks from there!

I've had the lumpy thing happy too and I get these weird concave pits at my belt line on my abdomen when I start losing.

I'm kind of braindead at the moment, but everyone has done a fantastic job and I see a lot of people with visible changes in their mid-sections.

I noticed that too. It's amazing what a little clean eating will do for your tummy!

Paula, I think I was relaxed in the first and flexed in the second. I need to do a better job of making my pics exactly the same pose each time.

One month down, Five to go!
I completely spaced on the fact that we needed to get our one-month photos uploaded, and I apologize for being a bit tardy.
Ginger reminded me this evening, so here are my updated photos, I will post my measurements by tomorrow afternoon.
I checked out a lot of the other monthly updates and it is simply amazing how much progress has been made!! Everyone looks fantastic and I look forward to seeing the changes over the next five months!
I had taken my first photos myself, but was able to get my husband to take my updated shots, so I hope the difference in angle and background doesn't look too screwy. The white background are my first shots, the green are the photos taken this evening.
I feel like my behind looks a little higher (which hopefully translates into a little more firm ). I was also pleased to see much more definition in my shoulder cap.
Let's keep lifting together!

Wow Ladies!! You all are an inspiration!! I am so motivated by this thread! I started on Jan 7th but didn't get my measurements or pics online in time to do this challenge. But, I'm following you all!
I have a thing with the scale. For whatever reason, I always dwell on my weight. I *know* that weight is simply a number and that the measuring tape never lies. However, I feel so suckered into seeing my weight on the scale go down & when it doesn't it annoys me! lol
With that being said, I'll share my January progress. I don't have any pictures. I am doing only 1 before and then an end result in a few months. Of the measurements I have been keeping track of...
Height - 5'5"
Weight - 170.6 down to 166.0 (-4.6)
Upper Waist - 33.5 down to 31.5 (-2.00)
Lower Waist (bellybutton) - 36.75 down to 35 (-1.75)
Hips - 43 down to 42 (- 1.00)
Thighs - 24.75 down to 23.5 (-1.25)
