Default Lat Pulldown - How much do the plates weigh?

Is there a standard, or is every machine different? I plan on asking at the gym next time, but it's killing me to know!

At my gym, the plates are numbered 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, etc. I figure this means 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, etc. There is also an extra plate to slip on top of the stack, and I figure this is the 5 lb plate. So, does this sound right?

The same sort of numbering scheme goes for the row machine, too.

you're correct.

Unless it's a double pulley for high/low use, in which case the number is half that.

Our are numbered 20, 30, 40 etc. I think your assumption is correct.

I've seen both what's above and what I mentioned in another post similar to this one... where plates were 15lbs each. I've seen them labeled 15, 30, 45, etc.... and I've seen 10,20,30.... so I think depends on the particular one you're using.

If they're numbered plates and not a weight, who knows really.

There's the cybex machines in my gym (Lifetime) and it seems that on each one the numbers = a different weight... and only some of them come with a key.
