Default Calorie question again

HI All

What happens if on a non w/out day, you over eat and end up with approx the same amount of calories as on a work/out day.

The next day being a w/o day, should you keep the calorie level up, or bring it down to a non w/o day to compensate.

Thanks again all for the helpful information on this board.

Just move on. Don't compensate the next day. Every day, and even every meal, stands alone.

If you overeat today, you didn't lose weight today. Eating less than you are supposed to, tomorrow, just makes you miserable tomorrow. Starving and grumpy and punishing yourself, you're more likely to mess up again. Just move on. Get back on track with your next meal and stay there.

I like LD's words too: "Every meal stands alone."

I also like this analogy: Blowing one meal (or one day) is like having a flat tire. You wouldn't get out of the car, look at the flat and say, "Oh hell, I'm ruined, I might as well slash the other three and forget about driving at all." No, you'd fix the tire, get back in the car and drive on. You'd be late, but you'll still get there. So don't "slash your other tires." Just make the next meal be exactly what it was supposed to be. Continue on.
