Default WOMEN'S CHALLENGE - Weekly Support/Motivation/Whatever Thread - Week 3/26

Julie's busy, so I thought I would help out.

This weeks question is: What has been your biggest accomplishment so far?

Ready! Cassette (as Jack says)! Go!

I am going to narrow down the question and just focus on my fitness accomplishments, which I don't consider my biggest ones. (relationship accomplishments have been the best!! 20 + awesome years with my hubby)

but my biggest fitness accomplishment has been losing and maintaining 70 pounds, and transforming from a sedentary, unfit woman who had trouble walking stairs and walking the beach, to a fit, strong woman who does marathons, triathlons, and squatted 155 for reps this morning!!!

so far Ever? or so far This Challenge? (and I suspect the answer is "whichever you want to answer")

In life? Starting and running a successful business AND working full-time as an IT Consultant as my "real job" AND going to college all at the same time! Whew!

For the challenge? Sticking with my nutrition 100% so far! And, the proof is in the jeans that so easily slid on this morning!

Sorry, the original question was what was your favorite recipe in NROL4W, but since not everyone is doing NROL4W, I broadened it...a little too broad I guess.

What has been your favorite challenge related accomplishment?

Sticking with it this long!

Yes, it's only been 3 weeks. But I used to put together some sort of training program, then I would read more information and decide that I wanted to try that instead. I could never stick with something more than 2 weeks.

I'm doing NROL the original version. I took one of the plans that is laid out in the book and entered everything in my Google calendar for the next year. Yes, there will be bumps along the way that I can't account for in advance, but I'VE GOT A PLAN!!!

What kind of IT consulting do you do? I'm a programmer - just curious!

Isn't it amazing how much is affected just by what we eat?!?! Congrats on the jeans. Imagine what they'll fit like in a month!

ooh - I finished my B.S. while working full-time in IT - so perhaps we are kindred spirits.

I work in the telecom field in IT (until it all gets outsourced ). I do a lot of liason work with the business side of the house and BA-type work, as well (requirements gathering, A&D work with the programmers, some training, et). I'm not going to college for anything IT related -- BA in Social Sciences.

No big accomplishments yet with this program... though I did up my weights in almost all of my exercises in today's workout... so I suppose that's the biggest so far :-)

My biggest accomplishment so far has also been sticking with it. I have made it a priority to get to the gym at least 3x's a week.

Another accomplishent was only eating minestrone soup and salad at the Olive Garden while my girlfriends dipped thier breadsticks into Alfredo sauce.

My biggest accomplishment so far in the program has been going to the gym every work day at lunch and completing my workouts - Then enduring the wrath of my lunch group whom I leave behind, they taunt me to get me to stay behind and enjoy quiznos and cheese steaks. When it gets really tough I just calculate their calories and tell them I hope they plan on not eating dinner after their 700 calorie lunch. mmwwaahhhhahaha (we play tough - also in the IT field a programmer)

I have also recruited two women coworkers to do NROLW with me, in the process gotten them to buy the book and learn about nutrition and fueling their bodies. I have a few onlookers (from my lunch group) who are considering I think they are waiting to see results. They have no idea of the HARD WORK we put in at the gym.

So I feel good but I have no great results to report sadly, aside from raising my weights in all "events". My husband thinks it may be because I did NROL last year, so the results are not as quick.

My biggest accomplishment so far has been sticking with the nutrition part 100% - usually where I end up screwin' up! The workouts have never been a problem, it's always been the diet! And these 1300 cal days have been TOUGH but I've done it!

My biggest accomplishment has been sticking with the program. But, so far this has been one of the easiest programs to stick with! I am really looking forward to my workouts everyday.

Sticking with the eating plan has been so-so. I've been doing pretty good, but have faltered a bit in the last couple of days. I am waiting for my copy of The Perfect Body Diet to get here and am hoping that will give me a little boost in the eating area.
