It looks like we're going to get a chance to shoot digital video of some of the exercises in NROL for Women. We had hoped to do this months ago, but the general numbness of my skull prevented it.
Assuming I can actually figure out how to shoot and post digital video, which exercises would you like to see demonstrated?
BB Squat
Partial Single Leg Squat
BB Deadlift
BB Romanian Deadlift
Single-Leg Romanian Deadlift
Reverse Lunge from box with forward reach
Front squat/push press
WG lat pull down
Negative Pull ups
Pullover
DB prone Cuban Snatch
YTWL
Lateral Flexion Exercises
Twisting Exercises
Squat/Lunge Jump
HIIT on the treadmill
"Brick walls are there for a reason. They are not there to keep us out. The brick walls are there to give us a chance to show how badly we want something. The brick walls are there to stop people who don’t want it badly enough. They're there to keep the other people out.” -Randy Pausch
Video demos would be awesome! The prone jackknife would be a top choice for me, too. I haven't felt so awkward since the last time I gave birth (and I frankly didn't care then!).
I think deadlifts would be a good choice, too, given the amount of discussion that goes on about them.
I think it would be useful to show how to set up the safety bars in the squat cage (actually on several models of squat rack, power cage, gun rack style) and then demonstrate how to dump the bar if you are in trouble (e.g. can't get out of the hole). Many women might not "just know" how to do this and it would be useful for them to see it is no big deal to just squat down and dump it. You might hesitate to show "failure" but really, I think it would build confidence to show what to do if you get in trouble.
this has been a sticky for a loooooooong time. So, where are the videos???? I am in stage 3 and would love to see the ytwl in action. In fact, I think it would be most beneficial to demonstrate all workouts. I am hearing about some injuries on other boards.
Jodi, I can't answer about this video project, but in the mean time you can see some good video of the YTWL's via the links in this thread: YTWL question
I thought this was stickied at the top of this forum because there WERE actual videos of each exercise. Imagine my disappointment.
If there ARE any NROL4W videos, I realize that in order to protect the authors' rights, they should be password protected with clues from certain words, pages and paragraphs from the book. So only those of us who have bought it are able to view them.
I think your idea might have already been done. Boo:
trainerpack.com
pumpone.com
shape.com
Add www.thenewfit.net to that. However I think it would still be helpful for the readers of the book to have a supplement to view the exercises more in depth.

I agree - especially with the more difficult moves. Add www.sparkpeople.com to that list as well! They have great videos of 20 minute workouts (I mean TRAINING!) or videos of individual exercise moves, too. It's a great free site for nutrition/exercise with quite a large fan base.
For anyone still wanting a video of the prone jackknife (I know one person already posted a video) I found this video http://www.sparkpeople.com/resource/...sp?exercise=14
They don't use the term prone jackknife (so it might not be showing up on searches for "prone jackknife", but it looks like the same exercise.
Hope this helps someone out there
