Default Weight cycling for strength and NROL

I've been reading that it is much easier to gain strength if you also gain weight, so if you want to gain strength without gaining weight you should first gain strength and weight, then diet to lose weight while maintaining most of your increased strength.

My goals are to lose fat and to gain strength. I have done NROL break-in and FLI and I am almost done with FLII, then next I plan to do Strength I. I have gained a few pounds since starting NROL, probably some muscle and probably some fat too due to lack of diet discipline. In order to lose some fat I probably need to eat at a deficit, but from what I'm reading that will decrease the strength gains from my NROL workouts. I lift about 3 times a week, and on non-lifting days I usually bike or run, so I'm doing aerobic exercise as well as the NROL.

So should I try to cycle my weight while doing NROL? Should I gain some weight while doing Strength I, then do Fat Loss III and eat at a deficit to lose weight? Or should I take a month off after Strength I and just do aerobic exercise and diet? Or should I just try to lose weight by eating less while doing the NROL strength workouts?

You're asking a lot. Stick with 1 goal and dedicate yourself to it exclusively.

I can tell you from personal experience that if you do FLIII after Strength I, you will lose most (if not all) of you strength gains. If you want to maintain your strength during a period of cutting fat, read some stuff from Lyle McDonald. His stuff is geared more for that specific goal than is NROL.
