Default HYP 1 efficiency

Well I just started Hyp 1 and am enjoying everything so far. But I ran into an issue last night on my first time through workout B.
I use a home gym, which I love and have not had any problems with until last night.

My issue is with the first superset Squats / Deadlift-Shrugs

I only have one olympic bar and one set of plates..... so I had to significantly increase my rest period (supposed to be 60sec)

so my 4 sets looked like this

1 Squats
2 deload the bar
3 move bar to floor
4 re-load the bar
5 Deadlift-Shrug
6 deload the bar
7 move bar to rack
8 re-load the bar

Repeat.

Does anyone have any suggestions to make this more efficient?
or as much as I hate the idea of altering the routine...
Does anyone see an issue with breaking up the superset and doing all the squats before moving to the deadlifts?

Thanks for your suggestions.

The squats and deads aren't supposed to be a superset.

Yes. Better reading comprehension.

My son is almost done with HP-I, and that's the way we have been doing it. We started out with one grooved standard bar, so it took a while. Now that we have an Oly bar, its just a lot faster to load/unload. It seems I read that Schuler said not to be overly concerned about these type of delays, such as loading/unloading bars or waiting at the gym for equipment to be free.

Seems I read this was fine, especially for those whose gym is busy and crowded. I think the main point of combining the lifts in the supersets in most of the NROL programs is time efficiency.

The book is confusing on this and Lou admitted it in various places after publication. Better writing, as opposed to reading comprehension, is the issue.

If you look at the Hyp I page it's pretty clear that squats and deadlifts are not a superset.

And he does say if you just can't superset, for any reason, well don't.
