Default Mixed grip lat pulldown dumbell alternative question

I am currently on Fat Loss I and all I have for the the entire NROL program is a set of dumbbells and a swiss ball. I've read that you can do bent over rows as the alternative for the lat pulldowns in Workout B. My question is whether there is another move I could do with dumbbells for Workout B seeing as how I am already doing bent over rows for Workout A.

I've been wondering the same thing, after searching the forum some of the alternatives I found were dumbbell pullover and pullups using jump stretch bands to assist and help you get the reps.

Thanks for the suggestions! I think I will try the pullover.

You could also try an inverted row if you have something to hold on to. The pullover is probably better though because it's often hard to sufficiently replace a weighted exercise with a bodyweight one.

There's really no direct sub. In a perfect world, you would sub some exercise in which you pull down from above or pull yourself up. These are vertical pulling movements, which are hard to replicate with a db set.

A pullover isn't really a sub, as it's mostly a chest exercise, but it hits the lats, too.

To keep healthy and balanced, another pulling exercise is important. If all you can do is a db exercise, then you have these to pick from...

two point row
db row (standing)
db row (kneeling on bench)
db row (standing and holding a support with the free hand)
double db row (standing)
double db row (lying face down on an incline bench or ball)
db facepulls
db rear delt raise (reverse fly bent over or on ball)

I'm sure there are more. Nothing is a great substitute, but another row or pull is better than nothing.
