Default Did you take one week or two off after Hypertrophy 1? (Eternal Beginner)

Hey folks. SonInLawofSam and I finished hypertrophy 1 last week (huzzah!) and the eternal beginner program indicates that we should take a whopping two weeks off before undertaking Hypertrophy 2. Granted, my body does feel quite fatigued from Break-in 1/2, Fat Loss 1/2, and Hypertrophy 1, but taking more than a week seems excessive. Thoughts?

The hardcover book says take one OR two weeks off. Don't know about the other edition.

I'm just about to finish up Hyp 1. I'm also insterested in others' experience.

It's all about how YOU feel after a set program. Go ahead and take one week off and see how you feel. If you decide that you need more time and you're not just being lazy... take two weeks off.

But typically you should only take 2 weeks or so off if you've been lifting for a long period of time, not just one difficult program.

After I did H1, I jumped right into H2... no break.

It's all about how YOU feel.

Absolutely. Don't do anything you're not comfortable with. I jumped right into the next cycle too, b/c I was ready and jazzed. I just finished Hyp. II, and I'm on the road - so involuntarily I'm taking a week off before I get into StrengthI. Just worked out that way. But I would have taken 3-4 days off or so anyway.

We ended up taking a week and it was perfect. So far I'm loving Hyp 2. My favorite cycle thus far.
