Default Starting back up...

Starting up FLI again...

Made it thru FLI and II last year but stopped for last 7-8 months, bad idea, had some life crisis stuff that happened whatever, im back now and determined to see this through.

Ive spent the last few weeks at the gym, doing some steady state cardio, and some break-in. I did a total body break in(A and B same day) twice a week to get my body used to the exercises. Combined this with some heavy landscaping of a weekend.

I'm ready to jump into FLI, but I was wondering if anyone has experimented with instead of doing a 15-12-10 Rep breakdown, instead making it a 12-10-8 with a 60-45-30 second rest period.

I want to spend the next 2 weeks totally getting my body into this and used to the work again, as I usually will do Monday(A), Tuesday(B), Wed(OFF), Thur(A), Fri(B), weekends will be rest, but I do go casually cycling, walking, and swimming in the summer.

I'm just starting FL1 so I don't have any answers to your specific questions, but congrats on getting back into it. I wonder if 37 total reps spread out over a longer time period will burn more calories than 20 in a shorter amount of time?

I prefer to use a larger weight when doing the exercises. I find it helps me perform the movement slower and more controlled and increases gains more than lower weight higher reps.

I understand what you say about the heavier weights, but it's a Fat Loss workout. It's about getting the heart rate up, and revving your metabolism, not increasing gains. At least that's the way I understand it.

You're doing Fat Loss programs....save the lower reps for Strength and Hypertrophy when you get there. Nobody likes high reps....you'll just have to suck it up like the rest of us did.
