Default Hypertrophy III Inquiry

Hi everyone,

I searched throughout the entire forum and could not find the answer to this question:

In the Hyp III program, why are there '0' reps and '0' sets for Dips and Dumbbell Cleans in Workout A?

May someone consult this so I can relax and have an understanding of why this is. Kind of doesn't make sense. Seems as though it might be a misprint. Any info would help.

Thanks!

The way I read it, it means don't do the Dips or the Dumbbell Cleans on workouts 1, 4, 7, 10. Only do them on workouts 2, 3, 5, 6, 8, 9, 11, and 12.

That's how I interpreted it as well. But I'm curious as to the reason why this is. Doesn't it seem kind of arbitrary just to not do these exercises on the specified workouts (1,4,7, and 10)?

Just seems a little weird, that's all. Somekind of explanation would be nice.

I am far from an expert, but I will take a stab and say that it's for the sake of variety. If you read the into to Hypertrophy, Lou says no one knows for sure what makes muscles grow. The Hyp programs are based on mixing things up all the time. Sometimes your muscles are asked to work harder than usual, and sometimes they get extra rest.
