Default Did I push myself too hard?

I did my first day of NROL - Break In and the next day at work was absolutely brutal. To fill you in, I deliver beer kegs for a living. Each weigh 150lbs and i'm frequently required to double stack them and carry them up or down stairs.

Thankfully I had a light day, and probably only delivered 30 kegs. But it was still a solid 10 hour day and I was exhausted to say the least.

After destroying my legs the previous night, it was extremely hard for me to do simple things like getting in and out of my truck, but I had no choice and had to push through it.

Throughout the day I lost my appetite and had to buy a protein shake for lunch instead of eating anything, and since then i've only had a handful of trail mix, bowl of cheerios and yogurt.

I've taken a couple of naps since work ended, but I never fell asleep because I wasn't sleepy, just tired. And I have this really light headache... I don't even know what to call it, my head just feels light.

Did I push myself too hard?

Have you ever done a weight training program before?
Did you have a post workout shake/meal?

You need to be eating A LOT, if you want to add on a weight training protocal to such an active day job. You probably did not push yourself rather you are not getting enough recovery in terms of the above.

Whats your body weight etc?

Most likely what you are experiencing is typical adjustments to the workout program which happens to most everyone whether you are a new or experienced weight lifter. Even with your job in which you lift a lot of weight your body has simply adapted to that type of activity. NROL, more than most programs, really challenges your body in new ways. I recently switched from the Men's Health Belly Off program to NROL and even though the core exercises were relatively the same I still experienced a few days of soreness...and I imagine when I switch from FL II to FL III that will happen again. Stick with it and the soreness will go away.

Good advice offered above as well in terms of eating. It's really important to eat 5-6 meals a day. You need that food for both energy and to build new muscle...otherwise you'll never progress (been there done that myself!). With your job that is going to be a real pain. Pack a cooler! Adjusting to a new way of eating is just as hard as a new workout but it gets easier over time.

This is the first time I've tried a program.

I'm 5'10 176lbs

I did have a post workout shake and meal.

I do think i'm eating enough, I have a huge bag of trailmix with me during work when i'm driving around. I have a quarter chicken breast and salad or sushi (shashimi) for lunch. I'm going to start making some hard boiled eggs as well, and eat a couple of those, and some oatmeal in the morning. But i've put my typical food intake on fitday.com and i'm getting around 4,868 cals and 203 grams of protein

So you're 176 pounds and you carry 300 pounds up and down stairs for work, and you need to work out?

Sounds like you're already working out, so if you're adding more work into your day, you better increase the calories.
