Default Hypertrophy I Observations

So I just finished HypI. I've gained weight, and dropped body fat, so I've hypertrophied! Looking back through my logs after the whole stage I noticed that I made really big improvements on the 5 x 5 workouts. I made small gains on the 4 x 10 workouts, and I either made hardly any gain on the 3 x 15 workouts and on some lifts, did not improve at all - or even went down!

I think the reason being is that when I first started the 3 x 15s, I used too much weight, and was unable to go again after the 30 seconds rest. When I got strict on the rest, I had to lower the weight. Then when I ran into trouble on the 5 x 5 nights, I chalked it up to form, and then lowered my 3 x 15 workouts weight again to make sure I did every rep perfect. I think that help to push my 5 x 5s up. By the last 3 x 15 leg workouts, on the b.split squat/step up sets, I was doing all 6 sets with NO rest, and the last two sets with just body weight - and it hurt.

Not surprisingly, the biggest gains were lifts with the biggest muscles. Squat, Deadlift, Lat Pull, and Rows on the 5 x 5 workouts.

I was wondering if others had similar or different results on this stage.

I'm on workout 8 of Hyp I. Your experience does sound like mine. I've been lifting for about 3 years, so none of the moves were new to me (though only done squats and deads for about half year). I couldn't believe how the 3x15 knocked the heck out of me! Had to drop the weight a lot too. I've been noticing improvements overall in terms of weight max, esp. 5x5 days. I'm freaked of course that I'm not doing any isolation work on bis and tris. Trying to suspend my doubts. I'm dying to get into Hyp II. I've got big hopes for this program because I desperately want to put on size. I'm about 5'9", 153lbs. right now. When I first started 3-4 years ago I was only 135lbs, so I feel good. I just want to keep the momentum going and don't want to backslide. Can anyone offer encouraging experience by way of motivation?
