Default Volume/intensity in DUP/NROL hyper programs

Hi,

I'm wondering about the relationship between volume and intensity in the DUP plans. I've learned that they are inversely correlated, at least regarding the total workout volume. So when the reps go down you may do more sets for the exercise, but you have to lower the total sets/workout.

Now when I look at the fat loss and strength programs there's no problem. But with the DUP there are still 6x5 = 30 sets of 5 reps?! I understand you want to keep a good overall volume during hypertrophy phases, but what's the ratio to keep it /that/ high? I had expected something more like:

Day 1 - 5x5, 3 exercises (15 sets)
Day 3 - 3x15, 6 exercises (18 sets)
Day 5 - 4x10, 4-5 exercises (16-20 sets)

I mean, basically in the NROL Hyper I plan with 6x3 (=18) sets of 15 reps and 6x5 (=30) sets of 5 reps you have intensity up and volume up too?!
