Default Starting Hyp.II.. swear im getting smaller! :(

ok i am about to turn 19 yrs old.. i have been lifting for about 3 yrs maybe less.. only about 1.5 yrs hard..

i am 6'1 210lbs, pretty lean..

I just started Hypertrophy II about a week ago.. i am loving the workouts and the book was a great read..

but i swear i am smaller than when i started (upper body).. others have noticed this too..

my legs have always been skinny and have gotten a little bigger but my upper body is not as big.. especially my chest/back..

no doubt i have leaned out alot! which i like! but i am trying to get bigger?

is this just because Hyp.I is focused more core/lower body

will i see upperbody improvements with Hypertrophy II?? i am wondering if i should change anything??

The only way you'd be getting smaller is if you're not eating enough. Have you changed your diet?

Make sure you're getting enough calories and log your workouts - you'll see the weights go up week over week.

and i dono a few people said i look a little smaller.. but i have gained 3 lbs.. i was 207-208 when i started.. now im 210-211..

and my weights are going up on the workouts im doing... but many workouts suck a bench press and DB presses have gone wayyy down because i didnt do them in hyp.I

i feel great but i just feel smaller ... im gonna keep at it tho because i love the workouts..

ya' think?

You've gained 3 pounds and your weights are going up, yet you "feel" smaller...you know how ridiculous that sounds, right?

50 % of Hyp-I was upper body. Plus it had DB incline bench, close grip bench, DB shoulder press. Did just your flat barbell bench go down? In every rep range?

Regardess, Hyp-II only has 1 day of lower body, and two days of upper body. So, maybe that will suit you better.

haha i know thats why i thought it was completely in my head.. but i was at the gym and a few people who havent seen me in a month or soo said i look smaller?

im thinkin its because i leaned out.. because my chest had some flab on it?

who knows.. i cant bitch if im leaner and 3 lbs heavier haha

Question Tape measure

What does the tape say? I take measurements every two weeks. Sometimes I think I haven't made progress, then the tape tells the truth.
