Default interference principle

in the book lou talks about this principle, and how if someone is doing say, intense strength training 3 times a week, and "cardio" 3 times or week or whatever (mixing strength and endurance), the body will usually choose endurance over strength and strength improvement will suffer, so it got me wondering about the hypertrophy programs. Doesn't doing 6 sets of 3 and 2 sets of 25 within the same week mean that strength (and probably hypertrophy along with it) will suffer?

was that a serious question? of course 25 reps is endurance (muscular) 3 reps and 25 reps uses completely different energy system ratios, so i was wondering if they negate eachother

To me, endurance training means long periods of medium to low SS cardio, which 25 rep sets does not meet.

Local muscular endurance is a whole different animal from pure aerobic endurance, in terms of adaptations, so yes it was indeed a (semi-)serious question.

What is going to occur during a set of 25 reps that will negate hypertrophy adaptations?

Be thorough, since I've read just a little bit on this subject.
