Default Sub for medicine ball throw (SIII)

Hey there-

I'm about to start Strength III and am wondering about the "throw" part of the Swiss Ball Crunch w/ Medicine Ball Throw. My gym isn't really going to work for throwing a medicine ball against the wall -- there are mirrors on every wall. I was wondering if anyone can help me understand what the objective of that motion is and what I might be able to substitute for it?

Thanks!
-Chris

How about subbing a similar motion with cables, like a woodchopper?

Lou answered this exact question in an earlier thread: SBCWMBT - Lou? Alwyn?.
