Default Best Whey Protein

What is a good or best whey protein powder to buy from Walmart or GNC or someplace to drink after a workout? I have seen and read all sorts of stuff (isolates, concentrate, etc.) about whey protein, and I am just not sure.

Any help would be great!

Thanks

If you're not lactose intolerant, concentrate will do fine. Do not buy from GNC. Is you feel you must buy local retail, shop at Walmart.

I think ON's whey is fine, but there have been kudos for trueprotein's brand, also Nitrean.

It's going to come down to a cost/taste/mixability compromise for you budget level.

I don't like any of the stuff at Walmart. If you have a Rite Aid, I really like TwinLab's 100% Whey Protein. I get the vanilla. It tastes the best and mixes really well. Plus, they had a sale on it a couple of weeks for buy one get one free, which meant you got 4 pounds for $30 which is a great deal. But I haven't seen that deal again. If you don't mind ordering online, you can get a 5 pound tub shipped for $43 total here: twinlab whey list of all sizes and flavors. Find all twinlab whey products at AllStarHealth.com

That was the best deal I could find online, but still not as good as the Rite Aid sale.

There have been lots of threads in the Nutrition section that discussed people's preferences of protein powders. Here are three that I found pretty quickly. They might contain some comments that will help you make your choice.

OK, i need some good tasting whey

Store-bought protein shake suggestions?

That's what it comes down to right there.

My husband and I use the ON protein powder...the double chocolate is awesome...and mixes really well. It's also lower in carbs which is what I like...
