Default Confused about HT1

Hi,

Just finished reading NROL - great read, although I am a little confused about the approach taken in the Hypertrophy 1 program.

I would fall under the category of Lifter 2: "the guy who considers 'skinny' an insult". So based on this, I will be attacking Hypertrophy 1 on weeks 5-10 of my training.

On page 224 outlining Hypertrophy 1: "Alwyn's first muscle building program has two workouts, each of which you'll do twelve times, for a total of twenty-four workouts"

Workout A focuses on upper body, Workout B focuses on lower body. Does this mean that from weeks 5-7 I do Workout A (12 times), followed by Workout B (12 times) during 8-10?

If this is the case, I don't understand why you would train upper body for 3 weeks only, then followed by legs only for 3 weeks - I assume you would lose any gains you made in the upper body during the first 3 weeks.

Or, are these meant to be split up and alternated? I.e. A on Monday, B on Wed, A on Fri, B on Sun and so forth?

Many thanks

The workouts are meant to alternate. A on Monday, B on Wednesday, etc.
