Default Hypertrophy II Length

Hey Guys,

While doing HII I had to take two weeks off due to work committments. During this time I still did body weight work and some cardio. I am just about to finish the last workout as described in the program but was wondering whether I should extend it for a week or two to make up for the two week break? I have been experiencing fantastic gains on this program and didnt want to lose out because of any lack of momentum.

Cheers!

I took a week off of during Hyp 1 during the holidays. I finished Hyp 1 and then took my prescribed rest week then started Hyp 2. I would say just take the rest time that the book says for Hyp 2 depending on your lifter type. Then start the next program that is next. You may do some light lifting and cardio during the break. I am on the "thinks skinny is a insult" and I am pretty sure it says take 2 weeks off. I think I will only take 1 week off and then start Strength 1.

Good job finishing Hyp 2. I will finish next week and am ready for the break.

Cheers mate. Thanks for the info.

I always intended on having a rest before strength but because of the 2 weeks off in the middle I just wanted to make sure I am getting maximum benefit. But to be honest I have making pretty awesome strength gains the last few weeks and I think my body is ready for a rest despite only recently taking one. I can't remember the last time I wasnt sore form working out.

That's another point, has anyone experienced DOMS after very workout in HII?? I assusme it is because of the massive swings in rep and weight schemes.

Cheers!

I have two workouts left in HT 1, in seems to go on forever. Also had a two week break due to getting an infection. They were the kind of workouts that leave you tired. Sounds like you enjoyed them as much as I did, good luck in all of this Rob
