Hi

i'm new to this training, but after 7 years of muscle specific workouts, i've given it ago and thus far its brilliant!!!

i've just got one question....

i've always been told that you require a certain amount of time before you hit the same muscle again (ie allow it to recover).

I'm doing the hypertrophy routine, which means theres only a few days between hitting ... chest for example twice.

Is this OK?

It's fine. Remember on your body-part split routine you would, say, blast your biceps multiple types of curls or rows (the row is actually a back exercise), thus you're seriously overloading it. However, you lost in the growth hormone department because you were only unitizing a few muscles.

Now, with a full-body, you're not hitting individual muscles as voluminously, but you're hitting more of them, so your body produces more growth hormone and it takes less time to recover. But don't take too long as you'll start to detrain.

If your referring to Hyp 1? I thought the same thing at first. With the varying reps I think it helps your body recover better. Its not like your doing a heavy load on the same muscle group twice in a week.
