Default New - FL II

I've been doing the intermediate workout from mens health bible ( barbell) for 2 months 3x a week and running on the treadmill for 4 months. I've lost 40lbs and basically going about a complete reorg of my diet and exercise routine. I'm 36 5'9 and currently 178. Since I wanted this to be my last diet I wanted to put some muscle onto a frame that had no muscles. After doing some research I decided that the NROL would allow me to workout at home and get the benefits of some muscle growth.

I'm into my 5th workout and I'm dying when I am done, things I thought I was doing well I am not, and any progress I have made since starting has been knocked down a peg by NROL. I plan on sticking with it and making some slight modifications to weight and plowing ahead. Damned if I came this far to not keep moving on. My wife has commented on my "new look" and seems quite pleased, so it appears to be working, but it's not easy and I see that it takes some commitment thanks to all the posts that are feeling the same way.

These programs are not easy. The gains at times can be small and at other times simply amazing. Just keep in mind that this is a LONG TERM workout plan with many different stages to the program. Each stage gets you ready for the next and when your done with them you will be shocked at what you have accomplished.

Keep up the great work. dropping 40 lbs is amazing in itself!

Great move on committing to a better life Fletch! I agree that these workouts are not easy, and that is the reason they are so good. If they were easy, we would not see the results. Stick with them and you will get back what you put in!

Welcome to the club!
