Default Too much for one morning?

Hey guys,

I am currently doing Hypertrophy 2 and will miss my regular Friday workout due to other commitments. I also go to the gym Saturday morning to do a kickboxing class which is mainly cardio based but also includes pushups and situps and a fair bit of punching. I also really enjoy this class.

Would it be unwise to do my h2 (C) workout before the class on Saturday?? It normally wouldn't bother me to skip it but I am really enjoying this program and am dedicated to 3xper week. If it helps at all it is the strength day of 6 sets of 3 reps-upper body.

Would taking a protein shake right after the workout help?

Cheers!

It should not be a problem. The advice from Alwyn and Lou is that if you're going to do cardio, do it after your lifting to minimize the body's preferential treatment of cardio to resistance.

In addition, the heart rate elevation for the extended period after lifting will help burn up extra fat.

Be sure to get some carbs and protein during and between workouts.
