Break in B
In the Break in B workout, when you do the one arm dumbell shoulder press, should you do 15 one arm, then 15 the other, or do you alternate arms after each rep? I know the step-ups tell you that you have the option to alternate or do all one one leg, then switch. TIA.
BTW...I've been lifting for years, never loved any workout so much as NROL. Can't wait to get the women's version. When it actually ships my mailman is going to get a restraining order on me : )

I believe the proper is to do all 15 with 1, then switch.

I did mine alternating arms. Not sure if that was correct or not but that's how I read it.
Welcome to NROL. What program are you going to do after Break In?

It doesn't matter; either way is fine.

I think I'm going to do fat loss I. I'm open to any suggestions, though. I've been eating over maintenance and doing a 5x5 workout for the past 8 weeks or so, and I have made some great strength gains, but I have a little extra fat to shed now. I'm on my first week of the Break-in program right now so I'm doing the afterburn for 6 rounds 3 or 4 times a week right now. I'm thinking I'll do the FL I next...what are your thoughts?
I'm also curious as to wether or not I need to keep a day off in between each of my Break-In workouts. I'm used to going to the gym 5-6 times a week, and it feels weird not going as much. I'm doing it the way the book says, but I argue with myself every other day to make myself not lift that day.

I am doing Hyp I right after Break In and absolutely love it. From the looks of it I don't think you need Fat Loss. I actually am probably the wrong to answer this as I run quite a bit during my strength training. So I tend to lose weight and gain weight depending on how much or little I run. With that said I have seen a big difference in fat loss though during Hyp I. People have been commenting that I look thiner now then before and I have not lost any weight. I can tell that my legs and my "Love Handles" have lost a lot of fat and getting more all together more toned then pre Hyp I.
As far as the break In schedule. I did 3 times a week and on the other 2 days I would do some cardio and ab work. I may have thrown in a few curls and bench presses along the way. I think you should do what you feel comfortable doing, but for sure take the week off when it says. Whatever program you pick next I am sure will benefit from a well rested body.

Ok...maybe I will try that. I have a higher BF% now than when I took my avi pic, so I really could use a little fat loss, but I'm sure it will happen with the afterburn workouts I've been doing. I LOVE those! They wipe me out!

How do the Afterburn workouts compare to the Fat Loss workouts in NROL?

"Afterburn" is how Alwyn refers to the Metabolic Overdrive cardio program on P87 of NROL. I love it. I have done it on the treadmill, stair stepper and Arc Trainer so far. The treadmill kicked my @ss. It's great. I was sweating like crazy and grinning like a special kid.

Oh I thought you were referring to his book (Afterburn). For a change of pace, try doing it on a rowing machine.

He says that you can work out as many times a week as you like but NO MORE than 2 days in a row... I changed my schedule to do 4 workouts per week... Mon Tue... Thur Fr and the rest of the days I take off..
As much as I want to work out every day I'm finally getting into my head that "rest" periods are just as important as the workouts...

I don't have it, which is why I was asking about how they compared (since I do have NROL).
