Default Question regarding my own progress

Hey guys, quick question. I would say my ideal physique is the guy they show in all the pictures of new rules of lifting, or maybe even barely smaller if possible too. My question is, say I just follow this book throughout the whole year, eating proper and lifting heavy. However, say I want to do about 20-35 minutes of easy running or intervals on off days, with one day off.

At my current status, 5'9" 187 lbs, probably 15-16% bodyfat, could I hope for this kind of physique within the year? My pr's are 245ish on bench (my bench varies so damn much, so who knows if it's 225 one day or 250 the next), 450ish deadlift, and about 315 for squat.

Also, what would you guys guess, assuming this man on the cover is 5'9", how much he weighs and his bodyfat? I would have to guess a good 190 and 8%, but could be wrong.

How much load your moving has little to do with how you'll progress in body composition. It's a matter of activity and diet.

I will also echo what I have heard so many times...genetics is the #1 definer of your body type. You can perhaps shift a bit by lifting, but is will always be decided predominantly by your genes.

Now, in the section detailing AC's metabolic overdrive interval system, he says his clients see 1-2lbs lost/week. In a year, that is 52-104lbs, theoretically.

come on, we all know john berardi's story. i'm sure he thought it was his genetics too after lifting for 2 years only to bench 150.

So you're saying you want to cut your bf% in half, but you don't say whether you want to increase or maintain your max lifts.

You could easily cut that much body fat in a year (or less) if that is your only goal. As Cynic said, the most important factor will be diet. However, if you want to cut bodyfat and increase your strength and gain some lean mass while cutting bf, that is a little trickier goal of balancing your training regimen with your diet, but it is still achievable in a year's time.
