Default Hypertrophy and cardio

I am currently working throgh Hypertrophy I. I was a former cardio queen, but now don't have much of an interest in going that route. I've found that w/ weight training alone, I'm enjoying my results.

I would like to weight train 3 days a week, HIIT once and run the stands one day a week. How does this sound? Do I really need SS cardio in my plan?

No, you do not need SS cardio, but Alwyn has said that doing SS cardio after a weight session is a good way to burn fat. Based on your other posts, it doesn't sound like fat loss is your main goal right now, so your OK without it.

Running the stands sounds to me like another form of HIIT, so doing that and NROL 3x per week sounds like a good plan.

Just make sure you adjust for this from a pre-/post-workout nutrition perspective. Increasing the duration of your lifting routine by adding a cardio component will most likely elevate your cortisol levels. This is fine if your body has the proper nutrients on hand to counteract it.

Duh. I was running all sorts of things through my head and couldn't come up with that!

Thanks, Lisa!
