Default Getting Results

I'm not keeping an online log, but since new members come along on occasion and ask if people are getting results with NROL, I thought I'd give some numbers to show the improvements I've made. I've done BI, FLII, HTI and HTII.

I started back in December at 195 lbs, and I'm now at 199, but I've lost about an inch and a half around the waist (to 33").

I had never deadlifted before this program, so when I started my max was low. I'm now up to a max of about 255 pounds, and I'm starting Strength I next, so I'm hoping to hit 315 in 6 weeks. (Regardless of the thread in the training forum, I'm pumped to hit this #).

I don't know what my max bench press was when I started, but it was probably around 175-185. Today I did 235.

Squat is lagging a bit. My max at the beginning was about 165 and this morning I did 205, but I think I could've done 215.

I'm not trying to brag, because I know these numbers are nothing to a lot of the folks out there, but I am proud of the gains. The best part about this program is that I'm still excited to get back in the gym after 4+ months.

Thanks for all the support from everyone here. The JP forum is a great motivator!!

Congrats and I agree, it makes a big difference to have this forum in addition to the book.

Those are really nice improvements, especially considering that you haven't done the Strength workouts yet. I think you'll see your max lifts go way up. Keep us informed.

Outstanding results. As Bill said, keep us informed. What were your favorite parts of the program so far? Just out of curiousity...

Keeping you informed: I did WO A of STI this morning - that superset of BSS/Step-ups with no rest was killer - I was doing body-weight only by the last set of step-ups. The good news: in the wave loading set of squats I did get 215 up, and felt strong.

Regarding my favorite part of the program, that's a tough question, but I think I would have to say that it is doing deadlifts. It's just plain fun to pick up a lot of weight! This is probably my favorite because I had never done them in the past, so my gains have been rapid. I also enjoyed the FL workouts, because although they were very hard, I really felt like I had accomplished something when I was done.

I'll post my numbers again after I finish STI.
