Default adding olympic lifts to NROL

I have been looking to change my program to a more sport specific one and I just cannot find any I like as much as NROL, (I just completed HYP 1). So in order to make them more sports-oriented I was thinking of adding some olympic lifts. This includes Clean, Snatch, maybe clean and jerk, or maybe some others. I know the clean is in HYP 3, but I am thinking of more of a strength program and doing an olympic lift a day, or at least 2/week.

Anyone have any suggestions as to where I can add these in, probably in place of other lifts.

I also want to add that I am doing it as training for rugby, so if anyone has any ideas for rugby training, please let me know.

Any explosive lift would be done first in a workout, no matter what else you plan to include in that day's lifting.

I agree with Lisa:

However, if you are doing maximal lifts and power. Maximal lifts can be done first (IMO).

Thanks all, I am in the middle of a "week off" where I am just going to the gym to set new PRs, so I am gonna take the rest of the week to sort this all out. Most likely I will do the program from "functional training for sports" by Mike Boyle, and then come back to NROL once the Rugby season is over.

Once you get good at the explosive lifts, you can also move them to the middle or end of the workout. After all, in sports, you need to be explosive anytime, not just when you're fresh.

You won't be able to do as many or as much, but still good, I think.
