Default Can't run anymore

I'll admit it, I used to dodge any lower body training in the weights room, but I loved to run. I saw the light and started Fat Loss 1, or Lungerama as I call it, and started the MO training to boot. Now occaisionally, I'd go out for a recovery run, long and slow, so that I don't burn out. First one was ok, but the second one my legs pumped up and I could only manage half my usual gait and I looked like an old man.

I move onto Strength 1, and after workout one and nearly cacking my shorts, I venture out the next day for my good old long slow recovery run.
Again, my legs are buggered, the blow up and I have no range of movement. I try a few surges to turn it into some interval work, gets worse.

It seems completely muscular, as in, no joints hurt.

The only supplements i use are a multi vitamin, glucosamine and Fish Oil.

Any ideas?

First of all, the Strength 1 squat workout is brutal, and should destroy your legs. I was always sore the next day. It gets better though...

Maybe your recovery isn't up to par. are you eating right after your workout? Eating carbs and protein right after you lift will help you recover quicker. Also, are you eating enough? Not eating enough will also screw over your recovery and leave you much sorer.

It's not soreness, it's that my legs pump up like they do when you do high rep sets when I simply jog. It doesn't happen so much during the AO, but then I do that on a treadmill or bike.

As far as my calories, I've tried to adjust them from - %10 to -5%/maintenance for strength, so I can slowly cut at the same time. This worked fine during Max OT some months ago.

My PW is a protein shake in milk.

Focus on getting a more carbs post workout, a good 2:1 Ratio.

I am not quite sure what you are meaning by your legs "pumping up". I am assuming that you mean the burn is coming on?

Yea, pretty much. You know how you get a pump in your quads if you do lots of squats? That's the deal.

I'll look at throwing a banana in my PW Shake. I've just started moving my training from morning to afternoons and I'm trying to cut carbs out in the later part of the day.
