Default Which series next?

I've been weight training over a year, but only doing free weights and big lifts since August. I've recently lost 85 pounds. I took October off lifting and ran a half marathon at the end of the month.

I did two weeks of Break-in in September, took October off, then I'll probably get three more weeks in before Thanksgiving. Then I'll take my week off.

I had planned to do Fat-Loss next because I figured some more time with full body workouts would do me some good. But since my last race, I'm starting to get too thin and, well, I'm starting to scare small children. My BF is only 14.5%, and it doesn't need to go lower. I am upping my calories and protein.

I still run, and I swim. Don't plan to stop. I know, I know. But I'm formerly fat, and I'll do what I need to do not to go back

So now I'm leading toward starting H1 next. I plan to lift three or four times a week. Thoughts?

Dee

H1 sounds like a good plan.

I like Hypertrophy 1 from what you've said. I think three times a week should do it along with a carefully planned increase in your calories to support muscle growth.

I am starting H1 on the 27th... finishing up FL3 this coming week and will do a week of intervals only...

I was scared of Hypertrophy as I still have a lot of fat to lose but Lou calmed my fears...

I think H1 would be a great program for ya!

Based on what you have described, H1 seems like a good choice. You definitely want to make sure your nutrition is in order like Lisa said to support muscle growth, aid recovery, etc, etc....

Thanks, all! Nutrition will be the hardest part. I eat pretty clean, but figuring out how to moderately increase weight after a significant loss will be tricky.

I was afraid someone would say that H1 was biting off more than I can chew (perhaps I'm a little obsessed with food ) with so little experience, but it sounds like I'll be OK.

So far I'm kind of surprised by an increase in energy since I added more protein. I'm bouncing off the walls in the morning until I can get to the gym!

Well, I'm proud to join you on your journey! Weight loss was one thing, but maintenance scares me more! Love seeing your example

I am sure it will be one heck of a journey... I am still fighting with calories...

I can eat anywhere from 1500 to 2200 and not lose or gain... Of course since starting NROl on August 20th of this year I have lost 33.675 inches...

Lou says that if I am not gaining weight and losing inches I must be gaining fat... I can't wait to see my next BodPod results... they better be good
