Default SHELC query...

I'm starting FL II tonight, and I'm a little concerned about the leg curl supine hip extension--the leg curl part. I have a "trick" neck vertebra (right side), and pressure placed on the back of my neck at certain angles knock it out (requiring a chiro visit). From the photo in the book, it looks as though the angle of the neck in the leg curl part of the hip extension exercise will place exactly the wrong kind of pressure on my neck.

Might there be a substitute to work the hams at that point in the WO without placing this kind of neck pressure on me? I imagine that supine hip extensions alone are not enough--there is supposed to be a hamstring component here as well.

Any suggestions for a sub?

TIA!

I just tried it while supporting some weight on my elbows. That seemed to take the pressure off my neck and still felt like a decent hamstring exercise.

That's what I ended up doing last night for my first FL II WO--I figured I was probably cheating, but I'm glad to hear it was an acceptable tweak!

Thanks, Bill~
