Default Staley's EDT

I know this is the NROL forum and thats what I'm doing but I was wondering if anyone had tried Charles Staley's EDT (Escalating Density Training - "Muscle Logic") or thought about fitting it into New Rules at all. I don't feel that bad since Alwyn wrote a promo for the book and Lou sites him in a couple spots.

EDT is a terrific training system, although different from NROL.

If you're crunched for time to train, or training for a sport in which EDT conditioning would give you an edge, then I recommend it. If those aren't your primary concerns.

And I wouldn't try to blend the two. Alwyn doesn't design anything randomly; every rest period and loading prescription in NROL has a purpose, both within individual programs and as a way of preparing you for the next program on the continuum.

They're both fine. You just have to choose one or the other.

Thanks Lou, that makes sense. I think I will complete the New Rules program that I'm doing. I'm following the Skinny Guy program but only working out every 3rd day (one day on, 2 off) because of time demands. I think when I get to the end of it (which is a long way from now) I'll do 8 weeks of EDT before jumping back into a New Rules schedule. I'm in HT I at the moment.
