Question Lou or Alwyn RE: Pre-made programs in the book..

Gentlemen,

I understand the idea of these workouts outlined in the book being modular in regards to your specific goals.

My main goal is to decrease body fat and increase lean mass. I'm considering following the example of lifter #4. I have found in the past that my body responds well overall to a mix similar to this. As noted in some prior posts, I have used "The Testosterone Advantage Plan" with very good results in the past. My thinking was since #4's changed so frequently and that it was set up for a full year that it would work very well for me.

Now, I read in another thread from Lou that you are not "supposed" to do anything particular, it's all based on your goals.

Am I analyzing this all too much?? Should I just go with my original thoughts and see what happens and adjust from there? I've been thinking that since I've been following so many fat loss programs as of late with no changes allowed for a strength or hypertrophy stage.

Any suggestions as to what I should do OR Alwyn, the best way to organize those workouts for fat loss? Maybe do FL 1, 2 & 3 in succession???

Thanks for taking the time to read this and to answer not only these questions, but everyone that you respond to on these forums.

Thanks,
Dave

just something to ponder...how much muscle do you have right now? if you lose BF are you going to look lean and mean or skinny and pathetic? too many people get hooked into being skinny and end up taking twice as long to look good.

no matter where you're at getting stronger will get you closer to your goal and make hypertrophy\fat loss easier. if you focused now on the strength\hypertrophy and start the fat loss in Jan\Feb, you ought to be doing great for next spring\summer.
