Default NROL STRENGTH II - COMPLETED

This morning I completed New Rules of Lifting - Strength II. I cannot tell you guys/gals how amazed I am with my progress. I made significant gains in just about every area.

I cannot thank Lou and Alwyn enough for providing such a masterful program. And, an additional thanks to Alwyn for his "tweaks" and coaching along the way.

The full program is in my training log, but I hope to do some progress charts to show the effectiveness of the program for me.

THANKS TO ALL FOR THE ENCOURAGEMENT.

On to Strength III.

John,

What makes the NROL so great?

What kinds of exercises are in it?

What are the programs geared toward?

How are the workouts split up?

What audience is it written for?

I don't have the book and just a couple weeks ago I figured out what the hell you guys meant when you guys said "NROL". I'm considering purchasing it but I'm still undecided about doing so.

Nice going Mahler, and thanks for the report! I am a little over halfway through the H-1 routine - I am thinking I'll move to Strength-1, then back to H-2, then S-2, etc, and progress that way. I'm really looking forward to S-1.

Keep up the good work.

I bought the book when it first came out and read through it and then did nothing with it. As I've been reading the logs I've decided that after I'm done with what I'm doing now, I'll probably go through the NROL programs. Not sure in what order, but I hope I have as good of results as Mahler has had.

Just go to my training log "Mahler's Sixth Sense: I See Deadlifts" and all the programs I have done are there. Each workout is completely listed.

There are programs for Fat Loss, Strength and Hypertrophy.

That's awesome! I would love to do the strength programs but just don't have access to the right equipment at the moment. Clearly your basement is well stocked.

John,

after reading your log I'm kinda pissed. I'm happy that you've done so well and that you're about as dedicated man as I've read about/met in life, but I'm definitely pissed. I'm a very competitive athletic guy and my lack of dedication to fitness and the way I've let my body go (25lbs over weight a few weeks ago but down to 20 now) bothers the hell out of me right now, most especially after reading your log.

Hence, today I put my order in for the NROL book. The workouts look great based on what is on your log and I think it would really benefit me. After another month of getting myself back into the mode of working out I will begin the first week of August.

Thank you for the inspiration, for putting the time and energy into your log, and for the kick in the rear,

ya jackass

Martin

Hey Kojack - can the extra month to get back "into the mode"!! When you get NROL, you'll see it includes a 2 - 4 week "Break In" workout - you ought to go ahead and use that, starting NOW!!!

Seriously, it's what it's there for, and it's tailored to help you do the other programs.

Good luck!

austintwo,
Thanks for chiming in.

Kojak,
What he said. LOL
Stay pissed. It's a good motivator. Pissing people off is just one of the many things I do.

If you need the training log spreadsheets, e-mail me and I will send them to you.

Now I know why such a popular log went from 5 stars to 2. I must be pissing people off.

Good stuff Mahler. Strength 2 is what got my DL up to 405, then I did hyper 2 for awhile as a break. Now I'm on week 3 of strength 3 and my latest DL was 425. They are all definitely good, challenging programs.
