Default Quarter Squats in Strength II -- increase loads or depth?? Plus kudos to NROL...

I just started NROL Strength Phase II and am wondering about the best approach to take with the Quarter Squats. I'm trying to go down low with my BB Squats at the expense of some loading. So for the Quarter Squats, would I be better off keeping my loads generally stable throughout this phase and try to go deeper each week, or should I take the more conventional approach of adding weight with each new workout??

This is an excellent program, and I have been very pleased with the results. When I started this program, I had just finished 8 months of marathon training during which I ran three full marathons. I kept up my weight training but had regressed in strength on most lifts. Just after Phase I, I was near or had surpassed my previous strength maxes in most lifts and have been achieving PR's in some exercises. Some of these PR's go back a couple of years, and I have been training with weights non-stop for over 4 years at this point. This has been a great program for me! Thanks Alwyn and Lou.

Keep the squats at the quarter squat depth and increase the load. Make sure you go all the way down on your normal squats and you should have it all covered.

Congrads on the PR's and well as the marathons.

Just to add to Josh's suggestion. The reason for quarter squats is to get you used to feeling the heavy weight. So keep adding weight and when it calls for quarter squats only do the quarters. It's very cool after doing heavy quarters and going back to real squats where the weight suddenly 'feels' lighter.
