You know what isnt manly? Lifting full body, compound heavy lifts all the time and having your muscles get stronger than your joint and having a serioous injury that puts you back months. You kno wwhat else isnt manly? Doing the same thing day in and day out n haulting your progress. You have you ask yourself something, who knows more about fitness, you or Alwyn. If its the former than dont do any exercises you dont want because you havnt ever tried them and dont know how affective they are just because of how they look. But Im going to make assume its the latter, in that case, just give them a try, whas the worst that could happend? You get a little bigger and a little stronger?

Oh, I hope so. PGJ, I don't think it is uncommon for the "weak" leg to be better(didn't say stronger) at unilateral lifts. Muscle coordination, hip function and flexability play a big role in those lifts. Muscle imbalances and compensations that have accumulated over the years often cause the stronger leg to perform in a less than optimum biomechanical way. These lifts will help reverse some of the problems. I highlight "help" because you are only correcting 1 out of every 24 hours.

For a non-girly substitution, try a cage ball:

Covers come in all colors. Probably even olive drab or dress blue.

The circus tent look would be a big hit with my Marines!
