Default Alt. Exercise for Rack Pulls

We don't have a cage/rack at the YMCA and trying to do rack pulls on the Smith just didn't feel right and I couldn't pull as much as I did in the earlier full deads.

Would heavy Rom. deads be a good sub for rack pulls?

Romanian deadlifts should be fine.

What is your goal?

If you really want to challnege yuorself, try one-legged deadlifts with a dumbbell.

Thanks never thought of one legged DB deads.. This phase is a strenght phase so the goal is to add strenght and I will only be doing 3 reps.

Is it possible to go heavy enough on one legged deads and still able to use good form, especially if I have never done before?

I thought Rom deads would be more in the same ROM as the rack pulls thats why I considered those..

Stack up some plates. Prefferably those thick rubber kind if you have any and lift it off those. Just dont bounce it.

One-legged DLs with a barbell work great, too.

I don't think you'll be steady enough on one leg to them heavy enough for 3 reps.

I say to find two benches or aerobic steps to start the barbell at the level you want.
