Default Break-in workout Question

Is that it? 5 exercises of 2 sets each. It sounds it would take me 12 minutes to finish...or am I missing something?

Not missing anything. The rep are in the 15-20 range. While it looks easy on paper, it is going to kick your ass, my friend.

Mahler is right, you’re going to be real sore, I did the first break-in workout Tuesday and I’m hurting worse than I can ever remember.

you should be afraid. Fat loss 3 is the devil, but strength are heavy but real fun.

All in all, great programs.

Lou and Alwyn subscribe to the "what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger" school of training.

I see that. I've never had so much difficulty with an exercise. Just didn't seem natural to me. Guess that happens after going through life never doing a lunge. My cycling coach would only make me do squats.

I was even practicing last night in the bathroom in front of the mirror so I could the form right because it didn't look right in the gym. In other words, my legs hurt.

Default Break-in frequency

I read the book and starting with the program but have doubts in the frequency I should do the workouts. I'm starting with break-in workouts and I don't quite understand if I should do them just 3 times a week or 5 times. I mean, if is only 3 times, let's say, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and rest at home Thursday and Friday and restart up until next Monday?

3x a week is plenty. In the book there are some hypothetical people that Lou describes. If you read through there you should get a better feeling of what you should be doing.

Smile More on break-in frequency

Thank you Chris-STL,

I read already the programs but as I've been doing weights for about 5 years in a daily basis (except saturdays and sundays), I'm used to go to the gym 5 times a week, so a change from 5 to 3 days it seemed to me a drastic cut, that's why I asked.

But I think I get it, I'll stick to the recommendations by Lou.
