Default New Rules - Fat Lost 1 -?

Does anybody know what the Lateral swissball roll is suppose to do? Maybe I'm not doing it right but I don't feel like I'm really working anything.

I'll be doing that workout on Thursday but haven't read that part of the book yet.

Check out the bottom graphic on this link:

Thanks for the link RL, that helps a lot.

I just wasn't sure what the exercise was actualy suppose to work. I kinda thought it worked the core something like a plank, I guess...

I'm really liking the routine, it's been a long time since I did 15 reps. I'm finding it to be taxing in a good way.

Well, since one of the six basic movements is "twist", I'm thinking this works the same muscles by trying not to twist when the body wants to. But I didn't stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, so I could be wrong. I'll let you know what's sore after my Thursday workout.

I would say with greater emphasis on the obliques

Steeler you should pretty much have your abs tensed when doing this from effort make sure your hips are up when you do this you should get a real tight feeling across your stomach as you work this and almost feel the movement from your obliques crossing your abs and to the other side. I never used to feel this tho as much as I do now when the body fat is lower

Basically a posterior bridge where the point of stability lessens as you move laterally.

I could never really get the feel for the swissball lateral rolls so I have been doing some high pulley cable woodchops.

Any opinion on these being a good choice or would a plank be better ?
