Thumbs up

Well I'm venturing out on my first sponsorship of an adventure race. You know, logo on the t-shirt, link on a website and the fun of playing around with the race organizers!

This is the race:

Assault on the Spa

So far I've done some consulting on the course layout. Lisa and I will be timing the orienteering section in a few weeks (don't ask where). This is going to be a good, tough course organized by some guys that put on a lot of triathlons in the area.

Just an update:

This race is coming up quick so sign up soon. I dug into the course layout and this thing is going to be fun! A really good orienteering section which should challenge not only good navigators but also teams decision making abilities. Right now we are looking at 15 to 25 teams in total. A good size race for the first year.

Looking forward to it Joe. I never got down to Hot Springs to train like I wanted to, so I guess I have to go on the "ignorance is bliss" strategy.

Can you tell me a little bit about the support crew. Will they need to be mobile or will there just be one transition area. I am not really trying to pry - just trying to arrange cars with my wife for the kids. I understand if you aren't allowed to share any information, but if you are going to tell us all the night before, then it really would help me to be able to settle things at home - and arrange for other transportation.

Thanks Joe for working on this race (one less team I have to worry about too!) Central Arkansas is a beautiful place and needs more things like this.

See you there.

Support will need to be mobile since the finish is not the start.

I'll post that on the race message board also.
