My wife Lisa (ODBsGirl) wrote this great race report from the Table Rock Challenge this weekend:

Table Rock Challenge

Check it out and see what a fine woman I found!

You race reports make me want to take up adventure racing. Well, maybe I'll just go hike the woods instead.

PS: Anytime a woman will trek through the mud and much with you, she is fine. But your wife IS fine, Joe. My wife is afraid of even hiking the woods with me - 'drunks and murderers live in there' is her common fearful reply. Oh well, at least my 7 year old son has developed a hankering for joining me.

Funny, Sarah is always asking during a race, "What do we do if we come across a dead body?" We do live in Arkansas.

It happens here in Illinois too. It doesn't help that they actually do find a body in the local forest preserves every five years or so. The last one was in a stream not far from where we hike. Plus, for some reason, the forest preserves here really tend to draw the partyers and low-lifes. I know most female runners will not trail run or ride alone, even on a paved path, because of that, which is a shame because they have some great paths to ride and run on.

How is Sarah anyway? Give her a hello from me. Please tell her I'm coming down there in March and April and she promised me a mtb ride.

What to do if you come across a dead body while racing:

1. Assurtain if it is the body of a racer.
2. If it is a body of a racer find out the team number or name and report it directly to a race volunteer so that the proper penalty can be applied for littering.
3. If it is not a racer yell, "I found the checkpoint!" then move away as fast as possible so another team has to deal with it while you go on to win the race.

This sport is all about strategy!
