I can't imagine races get much worse than this...And, get this - the run AND bike is done on a 1 mile paved track!!! Holy crap...

That race would be tough. Mainly because of the boredom of riding/running and swimming in a circle for 14 days. I guess to make it less boring you could always do it faster.

I was trying to figure out how you could do it. I've never swam that long (not even close), but I guess in the first day you could knock off the swim (24 miles), and maybe log a few bike miles. How on earth do you take care of the next thirteen days though?! At 20mph, you could take care of 200 miles a day (out of 1,118 total bike miles) (riding for 10 hours). So figure five days for that (assuming you can take care of the 'extra' 118 miles on swim day). That leaves you with 8 days to run 262 miles. Let's call that 10 marathons, meaning you need to average over 1 marathon per day for 8 days straight.

Eh, I guess it's possible...
