Head Hunter, I'm wanting to start training for a triathalon. I've never been a runner but have gotten into it recently and I'm currently testing out a bike to see if I like it. What is your background and how did you train for your first Tri? Any suggestions are appreciated.

I assume you've checked this thread out: http://forums.jpfitness.com/noncgi/u.../t/000117.html that Fish posted. I haven't heard from HH in a while, did I miss something?

Anyway, Fish just did his first so he could probably help out. Are you thinking of doing the Sprint Tri in Conway in September? It's a great beginner race, I've done it twice.

www.beginnertriathlete.com has good information and a helpful community on their bulletin board. Feel free to PM me with questions--I'm happy to answer what I can.

No, I haven't checked that thread out but I will. Thanks. I've heard about the sprint tri in Conway in September. I may think about doing that one. I live there in Conway and have some friends around there that are into the endurance racing scene. They've kinda got me pumped up about it. I'm just looking for as much information on this as I can get. Thanks a bunch.

I talked to him on the phone a few weeks back - he's good and has started his own biz and is busy doing that and riding and is gonna get married again soon (to a hottie who appeared in a calendar no less - she is ). So he's good, just not here.

Hmmm, I seem to get to personally know a bunch of people from this forum. Wonder why that is?

Wow I know how he feels (although my new business may not be quite on the scale of his) I also married a calendar ready wife.

Speaking of the new business, I haven't seen you on the board over there yet K, what gives?

Overseas and painfully slow internet connections ODB. In a week or so, I'll try to check in (if I can get ahead of my workload when I return!).
