Hey Guys...

Well I did my first tri this weekend and it was awesome!!!

We started with a 3.3 mile run, then 11 mile bike, and 500 foot swim!

My total time was 58.51!!!

I placed 1st in my race category of first timers!!! Beat the nearest guy by over 6 minutes!!! I placed 28th overall out of almost 200 people. In my age bracket I would of placed 2nd!

My run average was 7 minute miles, and average speed for the bike was 21.5!!!

Best of all, since I placed in the top 3 of my category, I got the most money out of my sponsors for the charity to help kids with cancer. Just shy of $5000!!!

I am hooked!

I'll put pics on here if someone tells me how...It asks for a url???

Alex

They have a .25 & .5 Ironman at the end of November. I was going to do the .25

It's a .6 mile swim, 26 mile bike, 6.5 mile run, but I'm going to be out of town that weekend and I can't change my plans!!!

Sweet time! So it was done in reverse? It would be nice to do the swim when the herd has thinned out some.

The only problem was it was about a 35 yard sprint to the water, after running and biking...

Your out of breathe, legs are like bricks, and it was a special pool where they control the current!!! and the swim was against the current!

How do i put pics on here???

To Put Photos on this forum:

1. first you must publish the photo somewhere on the web. Their are many photo sharing sites like www.shutterfly.com.

2. Once the photo is posted there you can right click on it and then press properties.

3. Highlight the url for the picture and right click and copy.

4. Go back to this site and at the bottom of the message press image.

5. It should be obvious from there.

I thought JP had put the directions on the FAQ area but I couldn't find it. I'm looking forward to seeing the photos.
