Multi-Sport Racing Triathalons and Adventure Racing have been sweeping the nation at a phenomenal rate. Multi-Sport Racing is one of the few sports where just completing a race is often considered a victory. Learn all about this sport, post photos, meet potential teammates or brag about your performance in a race.

Hey JP & Sarah -
What say we do this NGAR thing? Their are 26 slots open. It is $345 per team and here is the site:
North Georgia Adventure Race
From what I've heard it is one of the toughest races in the south. Last year they had the Georgia equivilant of a blizzard during the race.

Thumbs up

You know I'm in Joe! I am sure out of shape right now though. I went to an all day adventure racing clinic and I really struggled on the mountain bike leg! Don't see how I can get my conditioning up with as much time as I am spending on the road right now.

I'm not in the best of shape either but I can get it back in no time. I'll call you on Monday.

Unhappy

I am thinking about doing the Tuesday night ride tomorrow, and possibly every week to raise my competitive level a bit. I am just extremely intimidated by that group though. They are so much faster and the ride is 27 miles long... Maybe a bit out of my league, but I only have a month to get in better condition for Raid. I am not as worried about NGAR, as I will have more months, and I will have HRAs and new baby out of the way. Want to come ride with me tomorrow so I have someone to ride with?

Talking

I'm in. Depending on traffic, I may be a few minutes late getting down there though since I'm riding down. On my road bike. With my mtb on my back.

I kid you not, there is a guy up here who rides a beater bike about 25 miles up to the Velodrome, has his track bike on this special 'harness' (I don't know what else to call it) on his back, and rides the track races and then rides back in the middle of the night. He rides to work, everywhere.

My friend said, 'Now that's a man!'

I said, 'He's definitely not married.'
