Hey JP - So how many do we have for the training Friday night. This will not be a sprint for me at all. My plan is to just do it. Probably not much running on the train. A lot of it should be in the dark. I just really want to see how my body reacts with less sleep. I'm psyched about doing it though

Exclamation

So far it is me, you, Sarah, and Josh. I may try to convince Holly and/or Heather into coming along. I will see them tomorrow and ask. I am pretty psyched myself!

Cool

Okay, so we have four which works perfect if we go with just canoes. It looks like we will be using regular canoe paddles since the kayak paddles seem to be really hard to get. Everyone is out of stock. I just tried to get them again last night. Here is a link to what I'm getting:

I'm finding them for 59.95 each.

Question

Are they collapsable? If so, how small do they collapse?

Okay, are you looking at the picture? They go down to 4 pieces.

So here is a supply list that everyone should have:

1. Water, Water, Water: I will bring some large jugs of water in the truck. We may want to leave some at the water take out. JP, I know you go through it and you'll be beggin' to suck the hoses of others before the hike is through so make sure you bring a 100oz bladder .

2. Lights, Lights, Lights: We will need both headlamps and bike lights (preferably with a cute little flashy one on the back of the bike). I expect that we will be off the water well before dark but the hike will be in a really dark area and the ride back will be on some major roads.

3. Food, Food, Food: I recommend something with some caffinee. We can leave some good stuff in the truck. Carry things you want to eat otherwise you won't.

4. I will carry a good medical kit but you may want to carry anything that might be particular to your needs. (bee sting kits, bug sprays, whatever)

5. Clothing is up to you, I recommend wearing some . We will go no matter what the weather is (we will not canoe if we have heavy duty lighting). I do not recommend cotton since it does not allow water to evaporate fast and doesn't help with the cooling process.

Let me know if you have any questions. My current plan is to all meet at my house at 6:00 pm this friday.

Don't forget to get a good nights sleep on Thursday

We are down to three! Josh is wussing out on us. But Sarah is still in though. So she won't have to bring her kayak now. That's cool though. I am still good to go.

Lightbulb

Let's do just one canoe then. That will make the portage easier. I can add my front bike rack or fit her bike in the truck. Also, I think we should meet at your house that way we would be leaving your car there to go get mine and the canoe. What time is good to be at your house. I will be totally packed when I head for work in the morning. I be gettin' way psyched!!!
